Own AS
direct control over routing
With our own autonomous system we run routing ourselves – for stable routes, direct peering and full control over our network, without depending on reseller infrastructure.
What does having your own ASN mean?
An autonomous system (AS) is the unique identifier of a network operator on the global internet. With AS219496, ForgeHost is registered as an independent network operator with the RIPE NCC and routes traffic under its own responsibility.
This gives us direct control over peering, upstreams and routing decisions instead of relying on other networks. For you this means: predictable latencies, clean routes and an infrastructure we operate and monitor ourselves.
Our network is located in the SkyLink data center in Eygelshoven and connected carrier-neutrally, with direct fiber connections towards DE-CIX and AMS-IX. More about infrastructure
DDoS protection is included with all products, and with our Looking Glass you can test ping, traceroute and MTR directly from our network.
